Do you ever listen to the news going on around the world rather then just locally? If not, i'm going to fill you in. There is a great deal of violence going on in Lybia. The poeple of lybia were beggining to get tired of conditions there and having a ruler. Thus they began to revolt against their ruler in hopes to over throw him. Their ruler is outraged and rather then just giving up his position he is killing his own people just to remain as leader. If he really cared for his people he would not kill them , he would just step down and do whats best for them. He stated that if they UN or anyone get involved more people will die. A report said that students at a university were taken hostage and used as shields if attacked. Read more about this on www.bbc.com
i began researching about this more, and went to nytimes.com
There was more detail into the events occurring in Libya. Governments forces began to interfere with the conditions going on in Libya, the had an air borne attack in the coastal town of Ras Lanuf. Rebels begin to fall back after troops loyal to Muammar al- Qaddafi began to attack with tanks, helicopters, and fighter planes. A second day of attack had began to the rebel city of Zawiyah. The rebels gained control of of the oil port in Ras Lanuf. At least 35 people were killed in Zawiyah. This site has a ton of detail from when it began. Reflection-
What puzzles me, is how much war goes on in the world. How can someone who wants to be the leader of their country, an "inspiration", do so much harm to his people just to stay in power? People now-a-days are so greedy for wealth,power,control..ect, that they lose sight of the real purpose they began doing what they're doing. Personally, i feel as though people should remain truthful to themselves, and keep to their word, which is to benefit those who you are trying to help, not just themselves. Hopefully the UN or NATO will get involved soon to help end the bloodshed occurring in Libya. NO one deserves to go through whats happening there. Help the children.
