When is something taken too far?
You know when you see something on TV and think: oh thats not possible like someone would ever do something like that? Students from a school that will remain unnamed were in a local Wendys starting a fight. An employee there tried to break end all of it and kick them out of the establishment. Students were yelling at her and threw stuff at her. The employee began to get upset and flipped off the students, and cursed at the. Untill someone said the cops were coming they kept going. Once someone said the cops were coming ALL the students began to run out of the establishment, a girl came out and pushed the employee. The employee then shoved the girl back. Thus they started hitting and fighting. More girls joined in and began hitting the employee. A huge fight broke out. So far on knows if anyone was arrested. There is a video up of the fight if you wish to see it. Go to the website worldstarhiphop.com

Music.
Life without music, would be so boring. At least i think so. Songs keep us so entertained. Even with out words we find ways to use it. Music shows differentiality with different cultures, and life styles. Spanish music is amazing. With or with out words you can dance to it. They have all different types of dances for music. Then theres lhip hop and ect. With the words we create dances, even if the dances are wierd. Like the dougie, or jerk, or even the reject. Everyone does the dance or knows of it. Personally, i'm jealous of the artists because they're so famous for doing something they love. LUCKY! Teens without music would be wierd! Honetsly, music is my life. There'ssongs out there they quote my life story. Especially with girls. We find a way to somehow find a song thatfits our life that very moment. Guys can too, like if girls are bugging them, theres a song for that too. Some good artists are; Trey Songz, Ne-Yo, Alicia Keys, Rihanna, and more. If your ever in a certain mood, put some head phones on or blast your radio and zone everyone out! It helps :)

Parents.
Ugh. Where do you begin when talking about parents. You have to love them, but i know parents get all teenagers nerves. Is it because we're getting older and don't really want to listen to what the have to say? Or simply because they are over protective and still treat us like we are 4 years old? Honestly, no one really knows, but from both perspectives it makes sense. Parents never want to accept the fact that their kids are growing up, so they tend to hold on to the more strict ways. Let us learn from our mistakes. it'll help us in the real world, because we are not always going to have them around to help us and tell us from right from wrong. Don't think we don't love you guys, but there is a line where the suffication of "being concerned" should end.
Teens we love not listening to our parents. Not because they tell us one thing and we WANT to do the opposite, but because we feel that they are wrong and they have no idea what the are talking about. Half the time we are right, but is it worth arguing over and being grounded? No, not at all. We argue to get a point across. Sometimes parents understand other times it just goes right over their heads. So arguing doesn't really help. I would rather not agrue then argue and get grounded and my phone taken away. So maybe we should take a deep breath before we argue with them. Now readers, don't think im taking parents side here because i most certainly am not. I'm just trying to get your attention and hopefully it will get through to you guys and help you out in the future. Because when we get grounded that's when we want to rebel because we are upset. Sadly rebeling doesnt solve anything. Why cant parents be more cool and just try and understand. We will never know.

Miracles ARE possible.
So today I'm going to change up my blog today. I want to share something with you guys so you can believe that when things go terrible, that there still is some hope. I call this a miracle. Growing up life is hard, i can't deny that. Due to that fact i was always greatful of the things I had. Yeah, I'm just like every teenager, i argue with my parents but i love them, unconditionally. January of 2010, was when my life went crashing down. My dad was hit by a car, left with severe head trauma. We prayed and prayed that he would be okay. In the end, my dad spent a week in the hospital, and passed from all of the injuries. I know what your thinking, how could a miracle occur from that? Well about two weeks after we buried my dad, we found out my mother was 2 months pregnant. My parents had wanted another child for SO long and have tried but where unable to. Finding out my mom was pregnant was truly a blessing. Something was taken from us, but we were left with a precious gift. I'm not sure if you guys believe this is a miracle ,but I do. September of 2010 my precious baby sister was born healthy and looking so much like my father. I love her with all my heart, but still miss my father.
Your probably wondering why I'm sharing this story with you. Well, it's simply because i go to school everyday and see so many people go through terrible things and just give up on life. They believe it can't get any better, so why bother? I believe other wise. Yeah life seems terrible and you may think theres NO way it can turn around. I wanted to share my story so that teenagers can see that there is that possibility of things turning around from that "hellish" point. So please don't give up yet. I was going to do the same, till we recieved the news. Keep your head held up and don't let the missories drag you down. Your future is yours.

Teenage love
Lets face it. Do we,(teenagers), really know what "love" is? We arely know how to get a job, let alone fall is love with someone. Is love whwn you get that butterfly feeling everytime you're around that person? Is it when you feel like everything is perfect, thta no moment could be better when your with them? Truth is us teens say we love one another after we have been dating for awhile. do we really mean the words we speak? Is it love or lust? These questions seem to remain unanswered for us. Okay, so maybe some teenagers may be "in love" with their boyfriend or girlfriend, but personally I do not know whether or not i do. Don't get me wrong though, i may have a lot of feelings for someone, but I'm not sure iff i could just say it. I love you. It's scary. Well to me its scary.
I feel like if i tell someone i love them, i have to reall mean it. Like REALLY mean it. It't some word you can just throw around. The expression, "you wear you heart on your sleeve", is so true. Some girls do that exact thing and when they open up and tell their boyfriend they love them and they start saying it untill one day its over. The girl is left heartbroken. Thinking she actually loved him. Yeah this is just my opinion but i see this happen all the time in highschool. It's crazy. I feel terrible. That exact things scares me. Do i really want to be left heartbroken after opening up to the one i supposeably "loved"? Pesronally half the time love is actually lust in teenage situations. In high school we go from one boyfriend to another(unless you have actually found that one person you tuly want to be with throughout highschool.) I'm just like those girls though. From experiance i say, Girls, don't fall for that one person too hard because you never know what the future would lead to. Enjoy your high school lives. For when the real world comes you want to be prepared. Guys come and go. So don't let stuff get in your way of your future, and your goals. Goodluck :)
Then again i dont really follow my own advice to be giving you guys any, but still try as i will do the same. Let me know how it works out for you guys.
This is a great movie as an example of true teenage love :)

Junior year
Junior year is scary. That's when we all have to focus and figure out what we want to do with our lives, what college we want to go to, and if our grades our good enough to go to our college of choice. Remmber middle school? Those were the days. You could have fun and not have to worry about what you want to do with your future, free to be a kid. Now that we are between 16 and 17 years old we get a job for money, we drive, go to school, and try to do our best.
Trying to find the right college is slighty hard. Its hard to figure out what we want to major in. Also we need to find a college where our GPA reaches their requirements. SO much stress in high school. Personally i want to go to a great college and graduate with a dr degreee. I think students shouldn't wait till last minute to worry about their grades. You never know what colleges look at. Try and have community service and a job or even some extra curricular activites for your application. It may be great help. Good luck all juniors!

Snowing out, but still in school?
Its aproximately 1:15, and it's snowing outside. Being in school while it is snowing like crazy is no fun. Although snow is very pretty to look at, it is also so cold. Especially since we take the city buses home from school. We all have to walk home from where ever we have to get off the bus at. It's too cold. By time we all get home we are icycles. Personally i believe if the forcast calls for a lot of snow, schools should not be open. Riding buses home in while its snowing is dangerous.City buses especially because they're are alot of students that take the bus, and not enough seats. Hey, price of living in the empire state. New York has a huge population. Some students didn't come to school because of the snow, but i would rather come to school and get credit then skip just because of the snow. It's hard work trying to make up absent work. Other people have different opinions. I can't really complain though, at least it's friday. I can not wait till schools out. Hot chocolate and shopping with friends to pass time. Enjoy your weekends.:)

Fights.
Fighting. What's the point of it? There really isn't a point of fighting, especially in school. By fighting, i mean full on physical contact fighting. Okay so you hit someone you have problems with, but does it really resolve anything? No. All it does is cause more problems if one person "wins" the other person is going to want revenge and fight again. So there is always going to be constant "beef". It causes more problems not only with you, but your friends are going to want to be there and have your back. So then you have like a group brawl. Does that solve anything? No, no it does not. When you fight in school it is even worse. You get caught for fighting, and then get suspened. Is that something people really want? Yeah okay, you get a few days off from school, but you still got to make up the work you missed and then the supsension is on your record. If you want to go to college i'm pretty sure colleges aren't going to want someone who gets in fights. Maybe because i's high school and teenagers will be teenagers. Will people grow up once college hits? Or will it be a reoccuring thing throughout their lifes? Personally i say people ignore what others say and continue on with your lives and worry about your future and the REAL friends you have. People can say what they want but its up to you to let them think whether or not that they got to you. Personally i would rather not fight someone, but that's just me. See with boys there's really no talking. It's yell yell yell till someone throws the first punch. Then it's on. With girls, they confront. They'll argue untill the problem is resolved. Don't get me wrong though, there are some girl that do like to slap or pull someones hair. Girls confront the situation then leave it alone. Don't cross the person in a wrong way again and there won't be any more problems. So once again. Why fight? Live life to it's fullest don't worry about the so called haters.

Long Island bondies overveiwed
I have read many articles abou this story. Each day there was either valueable information added or just a recap on what we already know from reading previous articles the day before. A story like this does not just end. Writers continue to write about it because it is an intense story and continues to pull readers in to want to read and know more information. Especially if it's occuring in a town/place near them. Although sometimes the articles may not be completely different they still gain some information or changes. Articles have "legs" because they can continue and continue based on what the story is about. Whoever is covering the story on the 4 bodies found in Long Island, is doing a good job of keeping readers tied in to this story.
Blast from the past:1961 fun facts:)
It's rather interesting learning about events that occured before i was born. I'm researching events that happened in 1961. No, not boring like historic things, but more fun interesting things that would appeal to the teenage readers. So, here is some things i found out: 1)Frito chips were introduced. 2)electric tooth brushes were invented. Some movies that were popular were West Side Story and The Hustler. Music during that time were "Blue Moon", "Will You Love Me Tomorow" and "Moon River". Sports wise, the Yankees beat Cincinati,4-1. It's also amazing how much fashion has changed over time. In the 60's outfits were more relaxed. Women wore rarely wore straight cut outfits. More bias and diagnal cut outfits were worn. No padded shoulders were worn. (thank godness) Posture was tall and willow.
Now in the 2000's girls wear jeans and tshirts. Leggings from the 80's have come back. Many girls began to wear them, all different colors and designs. "jeggings" were invented. Jeggings are a combination of jeans and leggings. They are leggings that look like jeans but are confortable like leggings.
