Media influence

Do you think/believe that songs have an influence on teenagers? There are songs that we listen to talking about sex and drugs, making them seem  as though they are SO good, that there are no faults. Maybe that is why teens now-a-days are all about having sex and getting high. It's not only songs that have a toll on us, its any type of media, such as television. Movies and shows talk a lot about drugs and sex. Some even showing people getting high or having sex. I feel as though teenagers see it on tv and are like "oh word? that looks fun" Maybe they should try and cut back on how they show off such things. i feel as though it would reduce the amount of drug influence on teens that cause their lives to go downhill. Rather then making getting high look "fun" they should show what happens to those who waste their lives on getting high and drunk, rather then staying in school and doing work. Life isn't all fun, theres a time to grow up. Movies and music don't help the cause. Teens need to realize it may seem like fun now, but later in life you will regret it and be like" d@m**, i wish i would have went to college..or even did better in highschool."

Confused.

You know what i hate. when you begin talking to someone, and you start developing feelings for that person, hooping that they are feeling the same way about you. Then all of sudden things change. I know that it only hasn't happened to me, readers you know what i'm talking about right?  Don't you just wish you could go thru their mind just to see what their thinking? It sucks when you begin to like someone and they sa ythe same back then you wake up the next day thinking everything is perfect and finally things are working out for you. Finally when you arrive to school all happy you see a change. Word of advise, if you like someone and want it to go somehwere, don't push them away because your scared. Even if your not scared, don't treat them differently because you fell like, oh i aready know theylike me and i have them so whats the point of trying. No. Thats not how it works. It's an equal thing. Yeah you may just be talking to them but say i'm making a ton of effort the other person should be making the same amount of effort.
I feel like guys take advantage of girls. Like girls do have emotions and confusing them isn't any help. It honestly makes the situation more confusing, and hard. Its plain and simple, if you like someone and that person likes you, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. Don't use any type of excuse because you could end up pushing that person away. Don't ruin something that could be so good. The one you want the most could be so good for you, you never know what you have untill its gone. So don't take advantage of them. It bothers me so much. I see this so much throughout highschool. Guys think their the "man" and the girls end up getting hurt. HOnestly, like NO, your not the man. It just makes you look like a a**whole, and no other girl is going to want you after seeing what you did to the last girl. Don't you just wish some guys could just grow up already?Just so you dont have to deal with the childish games anymore. They're no fun. So people just want a boyfriend/girlfriend that's able to handle a relationship. Maybe that'll occur out of highschool. Ugh. i can't wait to get out of highschool already. Just so for once, i could deal with matures boys, not little kids. Good luck to all the teenage girls, if you got a good boy friend hold on to them and for the single girls...find one thats worth your time not one that will waste your time.

Favorite Blog

While looking at my classmates blogs i read one that really caught my eye. The blog was Tiffany Evans' blog. Reading her blogs were very interesting. She wrote as if she was speaking to the reader. She tried to relate her blog with everyday life problems or situations, even stuff people were interested in reading about such as horoscopes. She created her blog with the interests of others in mind. She did not use the blog as if it was a diary. One thing i liked the most about her blog was the quotes she had. I loved how she used quotes that went along with her blog and ones that really meant something. So her blog was by far my favorite. (:

check it out for yourself!:

Amina Zafar's blog

Today i read about a story of how a handicaped man was saved just in time from subway tracks on Amina's blog. A handicapped man went to pick up his bible from the floor and accidently hit the throttle button on the chair causing his to fall onto the subway tracks. The man had been through a lot of medical problems and never thought that he was going to die from a train. Thank god som MBTA worker jumped down and saved him just in time. The handicaped man is truly greatful.

Shanice Davy

I looked over shanice davy's blog today, and it really caught my eye. I enoyed reading one of her posts about being a good friend. I believe people should really read that blog because now a days it's hard to find a good friend. Being in high school it's hard to trust many people. So you nedd that one friend that can catch you when your falling. That you can vent to when the world seems like its coming crashing down on you. If you try trusting someone it could end up being thrown in your face because you could tell them something then five mintues later the whole school knows. So hopefully will read that post and learn what the true meaning of a GOOD friend is.

Jessica's blog :)

Today i went and looked at jessicas blog. I read about situation with boys she faced. I can relate to her so much. Guys are confusing. We end up falling for them and when we fall, we fall hard. When they want to end things or simply say let's take a "break". It makes no sense. Why tell me you love me, if your just going to break my heart. If you really loved someone, you wouldn't end things in the blink of an eye. When the going gets hard don;t push me away or end things if somethings bothering you. SPEAK UP! its not that hard. Reading her blog made me think back to that same situation i was faced. I just shake my head at guys and their stupidity. Then, when they go on to the next girl it KILLS. i agree with her when she said guys now a days end up with girls with their looks and how they dress, rather then who they are and their personality. It sucks. But what ever. guess we got to keep searching for the right one rather then the dumb ones:)

My blog is about teenage life and some of the obsticles we face throughtout high school, whether it's inside of school or even at home. Offering advice is something that i enjoy. Throughtout this blog you will read about different senerios  often faced. Also some events occuring around us in the world, either local or out of state. You can recieve advice about college, teen love or even overcoming hard times that have occurred in your life. I believe others should read my blog because throughout the blog i try and relate to others rather then the blog be a diary. It offers advice to people who are looking for it,but also is rather entertaining and gives you stories you might want to be aware of going on around you.

Blogs-
Junior year is scary. That's when we all have to focus and figure out what we want to do with our lives, what college we want to go to, and if our grades our good enough to go to our college of choice. Remmber middle school? Those were the days. You could have fun and not have to worry about what you want to do with your future, free to be a kid. Now that we are between 16 and 17 years old we get a job for money, we drive, go to school, and try to do our best.
Trying to find the right college is slighty hard. Its hard to figure out what we want to major in. Also we need to find a college where our GPA reaches their requirements. SO much stress in high school. Personally i want to go to a great college and graduate with a dr degreee. I think students shouldn't wait till last minute to worry about their grades. You never know what colleges look at. Try and have community service and a job or even some extra curricular activites for your application. It may be great help.  Good luck all juniors!

blogs

Top 5 best blogs-
1) Fights ; written on January 6, 2011
-The blog Fights is about how basically talking about fighting and if it is truly worth it. What the benefits and consequenses are of fighting. I decided to write about fighting because coming from a school where there are fights everyday, I found the need to really think about fighting, and vent about them.
2) Teenage Love ; written on January 13, 2011
-Teenage love is a complicated thing. Throughout high school we deal with relationships and strong emotions. Writing about this topic was interesting because it was related to my life and I enjoyed to write about it.
3) Miracles are possible ; written on January 14, 2011
-Writing about this was a good way to let things out. Now I see why people write, it’s because it is a good way to let things out. Two days after I wrote this was the year anniversary of my fathers death.
4) Parents ; written January 20, 2011
- Parents are a complicated but no matter what we love them, and they do what they do for a reason. It’s not to just annoy us or treat us like kids. So I felt that I should explain it and have everyone listen to a point of view.
5) Junior year ; written January 10, 2011
-Thinking about starting college and your life with out relying on your parents as much is scary. So blogging about junior year and getting your high school life in order was a good idea. Hopefully other teens that read it will realize they need to get their act together and work harder.
My biggest strength as a blogger is picking a topic and writing about it as if I was speaking directly to you . I try and keep the readers pulled in and entertained. My weaknesses as a writer is going on and on about the same thing. I need to work on that by sticking on to one topic and try to not have run on sentences. Also for my blog I would like to have in based on one general topic with the mini topics relating to it. My blogs demonstrate me as an individual. A person that takes stuff seriously and wants others to realize what they have and what the shouldn’t take advantage of.
